Introduction:

Hospital management and administration is concerned with the organization, coordination, planning, staffing, evaluating and controlling of health services for the masses. The primary objective is to provide quality healthcare to people and that too is a cost – effective manner. Professional hospital administrators have proven how institutions can be managed proficiently, economically and successfully in a given time period.

Course Objective:

This two-year course offers a The Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health and Hospital Management along with MBA (Hospital Management), this programme is designed to enable leading health personnel in partner countries to become familiar with the modern management instruments needed in guaranteeing effective, efficient and needs-oriented management in health care facilities and, in this way, take on a multiplier role in implementing reform in the hospital sector in their own countries and analyse existing hospital service policies and enhance their alignment within the local and national context.

Eligibility Criterion:

The course requires every candidate to have a graduation degree in the least. However, this stands as the minimum stated criteria. Any candidate with a higher education in the field or in another field bearing similarities to this one can apply for the programme just as easily.

Programme Length:

The course is scheduled to take up a time of two years. The subjects and sessions have been designed as per the two year deadline and hence, carry a distributed sense among them.

Programme Fees:

A one-time programme fees (lump sum paid at beginning of the course) of Rs. 65,000/- . This covers for the course registration fees, tuition fees, course material fees etc. Apart from this, every student has to pay an examination fee of Rs 5200/-.

Examination and Certification:

An evaluation is scheduled at the end of each semester after the completion of the semester wise course. The candidates who qualify this examination will be awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health and Hospital Management by IGMPI and Masters of Business Administration in Hospital Management Degree by UGC approved University.

They typically coordinate and direct the delivery of healthcare services in a hospital system. Managers may head entire hospitals or be in charge of specific departments or branches. Training in hospital management opens up a number of career options. Large hospitals often have a team of managers to oversee operations in specific departments, such as human resources, health information and medical billing. Smaller hospitals may only have a few administrators that work in multiple administrative areas. A manager may also head the entire hospital administrative system.
